John
Bio
John
Daniel Maher was born in 1972 and grew up in Arlington, Massachusetts.
He started playing piano at the age of seven, picked up the
clarinet at age 10, and switched to the alto saxophone the
following year. After playing in junior high and high school
jazz and concert bands, John attended the University Of Massachusetts
at Lowell, where he studied Music Business.
John
worked for a time at WEZE radio in Quincy, MA, taught music
at St. Ann's elementary school in Somerville, MA, and became
music director at St. Ann's church in 2000. He spent four
years there, but left to pursue other career opportunities
so that he could have more time on holidays and weekends to
spend with his growing family.
He
currently works at a web design and search engine marketing
company, where he does search engine marketing and project
managing. John still plays music at a 6pm Sunday evening Mass
at a local Catholic church, and continues to sing and play
piano, sax, and guitar.
